For the last few years the date of the commencement of the Battle of Long Tan in South Vietnam has been recognised as Vietnam Memorial Day. On Thursday 18 August the Braidwood RSL sub-branch will hold a short, informal memorial service in the Memorial Garden on the corner of Ryrie Park at 11 a.m. , to remember all those who served and fell in South Vietnam, or who have subsequently passed away. All Vietnam veterans in the district are warmly invited to attend and anyone else who wishes to remember is most welcome.
In the event of inclement weather we will move to the Services Club. The memorial service will be followed by a lunch at the Services Club.
