Remembrance Day, 11 November 2018

Remembrance Day, Sunday 11 November 2018

On this day, 100 years ago, the guns fell silent and the Great War, the war to end all wars, ended. At 11am, across the country, Australians pause for one minutes’ silence at 11am to reflect on the sacrifice of those who have served in our country’s uniform during times of war and conflict.

The Braidwood RSL Sub Branch will be conducting a memorial service at the memorial garden in Ryrie Park, commencing at 10.45am. Everyone is welcome to join us at this memorial service. In addition, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the armistice, bugles, bells and bagpipes will be played across the world all at the same time (5pm Australian time) - and the Braidwood RSL sub branch will be joining in. Come and listen to our very own Chris Nelson playing his bagpipes from the tower of the Anglican Church at 5pm.

Enquiries please phone Ted Younger 0412 003 250, or Chris Nelson on 0407 966 037
